Third Six Pupillage

1MCB Chambers is a multi-disciplinary human rights set with an ongoing commitment to access to justice for all members of the community. Chambers is supportive and has established teams across a range of disciplines.  Our expertise in crime, public law and employment was recognised in the Legal 500 2016.      

We are seeking applications from outstanding third-six pupils.  We would particularly be interested to hear from applicants with an interest in developing a practice in housing and/or immigration. 

During third-six candidates will primarily be expected to cover Chambers' criminal work and should have at least six months experience including summary trials and Crown Court advocacy. Chambers offers third-six candidates the opportunity to develop their civil practice, whilst also covering crime for Chambers, by guaranteeing a minimum of four days per month is allocated for the development of civil work. 

All candidates should demonstrate a proactive approach to developing their own practices and have a commitment to Chambers' ethos.  Third-six pupils will also have a supervisor and benefit from support throughout their time with us.
