Michael Chambers Defeats Counterclaim of 114,000

In a fully contested trial, Michael Chambers represented the Claimant in a complex money claim against a Defendant who said that he had been allowed to live at the Claimant's property rent-free as partial payment of £114,000 owed for work as a builder and self-employed contractor.

During cross-examination it was put to the Defendant that he had lied and produced fraudulent documentation to deliberately mislead the Court.

The Judge concluded that the document was indeed false and that the Defendant had lied, and gave judgment and costs in favour of the Claimant.
